we just launched the new beastieboys.com. for the beastie boys, duh. stripped down and clean, let the blogtimes roll.
So we’ve been looking around for video or photos that really capture the vibe over at the Nixon Art Mosh in NYC last month. This one by the fine fellows over at Highsnobiety does a pretty good job.
They taped some great footage of our installation with Darren and Simon that night, but they’re so – bad ass? evil? beautiful? electric? – that the camera broke right after filming them, destroying that amazing footage. Uhm yeah, that’s right. That’s what happened. Yep. So, all that’s left is a blurry glimpse of our stuff behind Chad’s had during his interview. See it back there? Really blurry? In the corner?
Either way, we had a blast, and we’re looking forward to upcoming Art Mosh events in top secret locations!!
A little while back we were tapped by Topspin to create a mobile-optimized download page for Interpol using their email-for-media widget technology. Since it needed to be mobile optimized, easily viewable and usable on any mobile device, that meant leaving the traditional Flash Topspin widgets on the sidelines and creating custom data capture and file delivery tools using the Topspin API.
The page turned out great – a bunch of tight functionality in one clean little package that looks great on any device, as well as a standard browser. And now Interpol has been putting it to good use, first on their tour with U2, and now during the Corona Capital Music Festival in Mexico City in a marketing exchange with the Pixies.
Check out the blog entry over on Topspin’s blog to read more about how the two bands used their admiration for each other to promote each other, give away free tracks to each other’s fans, and add to their already massive fan bases. And check out the page itself here to sign up to the Interpol mailing list and receive a couple free tracks for doing so!
We love Fitz & The Tantrums, their music and as people. And we love seeing all the good things happening to them lately, form all the KROQ love to rave album reviews and sold out shows. Check out the new T-Mobile HTC Commercial featuring the band – and the album cover we designed. Sweet!
